On March 3rd., we celebrate our Girl's Festival.
私たちは、ひなまつりを３月３日に祝います。
It's also known as the "Peach Tree Festival" because the flowers bloom around that time.
その時期に桃の花が咲くことから、「桃の節句」としても知られていています。
The festival is held to pray for young girls' health and happiness.
女の子の成長や幸福を願う行事です。
Families with young girls display beautiful doll sets, peach trees, shiro-zake (white sweet rice wine) and hishi-mochi (diamond-shaped rice cake).
女の子のいる家庭ではひな人形を桃の花、白酒、菱餅などをひな人形と共に飾ります。
